Purpose of Position
The mission of the College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines (CNPD) is to provide excellent and collaborative education, scholarship, and service to advance human well-being for all, with an emphasis on rural and underserved populations.
The CNPD is comprised of the academic departments of Nursing, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Social Work. Our Nutrition & Dietetics department is seeking a part-time clinical instructor to teach during the fall 2026 semester.
The part-time Instructor works closely with the Program Director and Chair to offer student-centered instruction in community, clinical, food service settings, research, and other nutritional health-related settings. All part-time instructors for supervised practice must maintain current knowledge and competencies in the assigned teaching area along with the required license and/or register to practice.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Teaching responsibilities may vary from semester to semester.
* For Fall 2026, an instructor is needed to teach N&D 594, Research Methods in Nutrition, 3 credits.
* Assignments for future semesters may be offered depending on departmental need.
* Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching, tutoring, grading, course development, and student learning assessment.

* Ability to manage time and complete tasks by deadlines
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to work collaboratively with fellow faculty members, program directors and students
Minimum Requirements
* PhD in human nutrition or closely related field that must include 18 graduate credit hours in human nutrition/nutritional science or dietetics.
* RDN, CNS, Licensed Nutritionist OR 2 years of professional experience
* Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
