University of Nebraska Omaha is hiring a Gen Ed & Dual Enrollment Counselor. The Counselor engages with prospective students and related communities across Nebraska, develops and implements recruitment and marketing strategies for the dual enrollment program, maintains the program's web presence, and liaises with secondary schools, university faculty, and staff to support student transition and enrollment.
Highlights- Represent the university at high schools and community events to promote the Dual Enrollment Program.
- Advise prospective students and parents about admissions, program opportunities, and financial aid.
- Create presentations and conduct information sessions on and off campus.
- Maintain and update the dual enrollment website using the university's content management system (CMS).
- Coordinate outreach, professional development, and recruitment events.
- Create promotional materials and manage advertising across various media, including social media.
- Required skills include knowledge of university admissions and FERPA regulations.
- Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a valid driver's license;
Master's degree and prior admissions or recruitment experience preferred. - Position is full-time (100% FTE), exempt, with potential for partial remote work.
- Works primarily within the Academic Affairs division, supporting the Office of General Education and Dual Enrollment.
