The Office of Curriculum in the School of Medicine at the University of Virginia seeks a Curriculum Coordinator to complement our existing team. The successful candidate will be highly organized, attentive to detail, self‑motivated, and possess the ability to work independently as well as contribute to a high-performing team. Our Curriculum Coordinators provide on‑site logistical and administrative support to medical education courses.
Coordinators participate in the planning, preparation, and implementation of programs, daily operations, and educational activities for students.
The Curriculum Coordinator will provide administrative support to two medical education programs (Intersession and FCM 2/3) that deliver content to MD students. The Curriculum Coordinator will participate in the planning, preparation, and implementation of programs, daily operations, and educational activities for longitudinal and phase-based coursework.

Typical Duties Include- Preparing and disseminating course materials
- Coordinating and scheduling meetings
- Creating daily/weekly schedules for faculty and students
- Purchasing and reconciling expenses
- Interacting with students and faculty
- Ensuring compliance with relevant national organizations (e.g., LCME)
- Providing quality administrative support to faculty while maintaining high standards of the curriculum
- Recruiting faculty from across SOM to participate in curricular activities
- Recruiting patients to participate in curricular activities
- Providing on‑site day‑of support to courses
- Entering accurate data and materials in VMED and OASIS
- Other duties as assigned
- Education:
High school diploma/GED - Experience:
1+ year relevant administrative experience required, preferably providing administrative support to a medical education program
- Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience working in higher education, preferably in an academic healthcare institution and supporting medical education programs/curriculum
- Proficiency in VMED, OASIS, Teams, and Box
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. This job may require working 2‑3 evenings per year and/or traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
Benefits and CompensationSalary will be commensurate with education and experience. This is a non‑exempt-level, benefited position.
Location and ScheduleThis position is based in Charlottesville, VA, and is eligible for a hybrid schedule in accordance with UVA's remote work guidelines.
