Open Ed is an online personalized education program that offers part‑time, remote teaching opportunities.
Locations- Open to applicants living in: AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, , IN, IL, IO, KS, MA, MD, MN, MO, MT, NC, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WV.
Part‑time Washington‑certified teachers support students and families through personalized learning, focusing on mentorship, progress monitoring, and individualized support rather than traditional classroom instruction.
Responsibilities- Review and grade student learning logs, providing timely, actionable feedback.
- Provide weekly accountability and encouragement.
- Prepare monthly progress reports for families.
- Work synchronously with students in 1:1, small‑group, or large‑group settings.
- Mentor and tutor students in assigned courses.
- Create engaging lessons, activities, or learning opportunities.
- Tailor resources and support to meet individual needs.
- Identify at‑risk students and coordinate appropriate intervention routes.
- Communicate with parents to provide guidance.
- Attend IEP meetings as needed and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other teachers to share expertise across the program.
- Complete additional grading and instructional responsibilities as applicable.
- Support a core group of students while contributing to additional assignments across the program.
- Participate in a positive, collaborative team environment focused on student success.
Skills & Qualifications
- Current teaching certification in Washington.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding that each child benefits from individualized learning.
- Kind, organized, patient, and a dependable communicator.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.).
- Confidence in learning various online tools, systems, and programs.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Access to a smartphone, high‑speed internet, computer, and webcam.
- Eligible to work in the U.S. (open to living/work in any pre‑approved location).
- Experience in non‑traditional educational programs.
- Residency in a Washington state (preferred but not required).
- Maintain a regular schedule of 25‑27 hours per week.
- Available during core business hours (10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. MT).
- Synchronous responsibilities may vary based on assigned roles.
- Hourly pay starts at $25/hour.

- Orientation, self‑guided training, and ongoing support will be provided.
