As a Dean of Culture, you will build systems and structures that create conditions and a campus community to drive exceptional student experience and academic outcomes. You will support and manage proactive, positive systems such as portfolio behavior and culture initiatives, coordinate responsive systems aligned with KIPP values, and partner with the School Principal and Assistant Principal of Culture to lead behavior and culture.
Your focus will be on cultivating a participatory, achievement‑focused, and outcomes‑driven culture that honors the identities of all students, while building the capacity of teachers and teacher leaders to implement and develop excellent classroom communities and restorative practices. This full‑time administrative exempt position reports to the Assistant Principal of Culture.

- Provide an active presence, strategic supervision, and intentional monitoring to ensure student safety and engagement.
- Take ownership for professional development, including coaching sessions and implementing feedback.
- Maintain preparedness for lessons, coaching, meetings, PD, and communications.
- Meet professional obligations, including deadlines and schedules.
- Leverage professional tools such as Google and Microsoft suites.
- Maintain strong attendance and punctuality.
- Collaborate with colleagues and seek feedback for continuous improvement.
- Reflect on practices to meet professional development goals.
- Participate in professional development, grade‑level, and department meetings.
- Engage in all school‑wide and org‑wide professional development.
- Serve as a positive member of grade or functional teams.
- Share candid, solutions‑oriented feedback with peers and leadership.
- Assist with student and staff recruitment and engagement activities.
- Travel to Denver campuses, the Home Office, or PD events as needed.
- Assist with other duties such as lunch, arrival/dismissal, hallway, or school support tasks.
- Partner with the APO to develop processes and protocols that enhance school culture.
- Coordinate and modify rituals, systems, and practices for supported grade levels.
- Manage, evaluate, and coach Restorative Practices Coordinators or Behavior Specialists.
- Oversee Grade Level Chairs and support MTSS implementation and data analysis.
- Ensure accountable implementation of PBIS, MTSS, and classroom behavior systems.
- Evaluate performance data to improve cultural practices with emphasis on multilingual learners and students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with Instruction and Culture leaders to implement whole‑school systems and coaching.
- Consistently uphold campus and regional cultural expectations.
- Manage Grade Level Chairs’ implementation of culture plans.
- Develop teachers’ capacity for classroom management and student culture.
- Support teachers with student accountability, discipline, and intervention procedures.
- Co‑manage and co‑lead school summer orientation sessions.
- Respond to parent concerns related to behavior, culture, or discipline policies.
- Manage academic and cultural programming for designated grade levels.
- Coordinate logistics for end‑of‑year trips, quarterly team and family trips.
- Co‑manage Summer School when applicable.
- Co‑plan and lead all Data Days.
