Summary: The CTE Agriculture Teacher, Grades 9‑12, is a state‑certified teacher responsible for delivering course content online, supporting student learning, and preparing students for post‑secondary success via Stride K12’s learning management system.

Essential Functions:

• Provide rich synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
• Personalize learning for all students.
• Demonstrate belief that all students can succeed and meet high expectations.
• Differentiated instruction based on student mastery.
• Augment course content according to policies using appropriate tools.
• Maintain grade book, make placement decisions, alert administrators to performance concerns.
• Prepare students for high‑stakes standardized tests.
• Establish positive rapport with families and communicate regularly.
• Support learning coaches/parents with curriculum, instructional issues, and troubleshooting.
• Travel as required (average once per month and/or up to 25% of time).
• Apply knowledge of state, national, and industry standards.
• Develop instructional tools and strategies to supplement curriculum.
• Collaborate with school and national professional learning community.
• Support a project‑based learning model.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Active CTE state teaching certification OR Active high‑school grade‑level state teaching certification with CTE Validation.
• Clear required background check(s).

• Collaborative skill to analyze and use student data for instructional decisions.
• Receptive to coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Ability to embrace change and adapt to improve student outcomes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Rapid learning and adaptation to new technologies and platforms.

• Experience working with the proposed age group.
• Experience supporting adults and children using technology.
• Experience teaching online and/or in a brick‑and‑mortar environment.
• Experience with project‑based learning.

• Noise level in home office usually moderate.
• Meeting locations statewide typically moderate noise.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
