Lab Coordinator – Science-U Summer Science Camp Program
The Office of Science Outreach in the Eberly College of Science is seeking enthusiastic applicants for Lab Coordinator positions for the Science‑U summer science camp program. Successful applicants will contribute to creating high‑energy, hands‑on science experiences for campers during the camp season on the University Park, PA campus.
Approval of remote and hybrid work is not guaranteed regardless of work location. For additional information on remote work at Penn State, see the Notice to Out of State Applicants.
Responsibilities- Organizing materials and supplies.
- Preparing and implementing experiments.
- Conducting inventory and clean‑up.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Enthusiasm to work with K‑12 students and share science with others.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi‑task and learn on‑the‑job.
- Reliability and ability to follow a schedule, which is communicated in advance.
A typical work week for most camps is 40 hours, with an hourly wage starting at $12.70 per hour. Lunch and professional development opportunities are also included.
