NSC Staffing is seeking an experienced Training Representative 3 to design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for all levels of personnel. This role focuses on enhancing workforce effectiveness by developing innovative learning solutions, conducting training sessions, and supporting employee development initiatives. You will be instrumental in preparing personnel for increased responsibility and ensuring their success in current roles.
This is a hybrid role with approximately 25% remote work flexibility. The position is based outside the yard gates in Building 1919.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deliver engaging training programs for employees at all organizational levels.

Develop visual aids, instructional materials, assessments, and e-learning content to support training initiatives.

Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions, ensuring material is accessible and effective for diverse learning styles.

Identify developmental needs and implement programs to prepare personnel for future roles and increase their current effectiveness.

Utilize learning theory, motivational techniques, and instructional technology to enhance training impact.

Collaborate with department leaders to align training programs with operational goals and workforce development plans.

Evaluate the effectiveness of training through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics; recommend improvements based on results.

Oversee and coordinate with contractors or vendors to administer or develop specialized training programs as needed.

Stay current with research, trends, and best practices in employee development, instructional methods, and course technology.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
? Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field with 6 years of relevant experience, or
? Associate's Degree with significant experience in drafting and/or ship construction, or
? Master's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 18 graduate credits in Communications, Engineering, History, Mathematics, Physics, or Psychology.
Required Skills & Abilities:

• Experience delivering training in both face-to-face and online environments.

• Strong knowledge of instructional design, course development, and course management technology.

• Familiarity with workforce development needs within technical, engineering, or shipbuilding industries preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to assess learning effectiveness and continuously improve training programs.

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Primary Work Location: Newport News, VA
• Remote Work: Approximately 25% of the time.
