Where You’ll Work

This position is based in our Lenexa, Kansas office. We use a hybrid working model: three days in the office and two days optional remote work.

What You’ll Do

The Continuing Education & Curriculum Design Manager is responsible for developing and executing training, overseeing the overarching philosophy for how to design and deliver curriculum, and developing learning outcomes across CHA learning programs. They create consistent curriculum design criteria to be used across the organization and train staff in this process. They also oversee assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of each learning program in achieving the desired learning outcomes, and manage the learning resource library, including pedagogy, to help CHA staff become the best facilitators of learning possible.

  • Create, disseminate, and assess the overarching curriculum delivered and evaluated.
  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate a CHA resource library featuring internal/external experts, facilitation and learning best practices, and tools that enable a world‑class member learning experience.
  • Lead the agenda design review process by convening key stakeholders to evaluate and refine each program agenda.
  • Develop an overarching philosophy for how to design and deliver curriculum.
  • Develop learning outcomes for each area.
  • Create consistent curriculum design criteria to be used across the organization.
  • Create assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of how well each learning program achieves the desired learning outcomes.
  • Train staff on curriculum design, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Serve as the CHA leader for all aspects of CE performance, including strategic planning, goal setting, and evaluation of performance.
  • Conduct orientation, training, and provision of oversight to program leads to ensure compliance with accrediting body standards and guidelines, and appropriate educational design principles are used, and processes are consistent with the Credentialing program standards.
  • Oversee the financial resources of CE offering within CHA to deliver member value.
  • Assume responsibility for CHA’s adherence to all Accreditation Program criteria offered.
  • Continually ensure that CHA’s policies and procedures are in adherence with CE’s requirements, updating as needed due to changing regulations or changes within CHA.
  • Ensure that all aspects of planning, implementation, and evaluation of all CE offerings meet professional and accredited standards.
  • Ensure CE documentation is correctly completed, accounted for, and can be easily accessed for years to come.
  • Track the accumulation of CE and disseminate that information in collaboration with Brand Communications.
  • Ensure effective procedures and tools are in place to distribute and report all CE certificates awarded by CHA (both for live events and enduring materials).
  • Maintain CHA's accreditation status through specified re‑accreditation processes (e.g., self‑study, application, and assembling required data).
  • Be responsible for offering at minimum six virtual sessions each year for all members to receive CEs.
  • Design the curriculum and execute the facilitation in collaboration with the steering committee for a forum.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the forum and the future direction of forum topics.
  • Serve as a member of the Leadership Program Strategy team.
  • Oversee the Leadership curriculum design of programs to be offered.
  • Collaborate with a team to develop, disseminate, and evaluate leadership program foundations across CHA.
What You’ll Bring To CHA
  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
    Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in education or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Curriculum Design and learning evaluation.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in CE certification, tracking and design.
  • Experience with adult learners preferred.
  • Excellent project management and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple constituencies.
