Penn State College of Arts and Architecture is seeking to hire part-time help!

The Stuckeman School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture Digital Fabrication Lab seeks to hire numerous federal work-study students. These positions will assist lab users and monitor the lab. No digital fabrication experience is necessary, but we desire applicants who are interested in learning about digital fabrication tools and methods. The lab would like to establish reliable lab hours of operation.

• Monitor the lab during open hours
• Assist students with fabrication material purchases
• Maintain material inventory and schedule student equipment usage

• Assistance with software such as Rhino, Rhino Cam, Illustrator and laser cutting
• Performing laser cutter maintenance and participation in fabrication projects

The starting hourly rate for this job is $12.00. Federal Work Study job performance is evaluated either annually or through ongoing mentorship. Students who received a Federal Work Study award have the opportunity to obtain a job and perform related duties either on campus, or remotely, if possible and at the discretion of the employer. Students applying for Federal Work Study positions should clarify expectations with their potential employer regarding either on campus/in person or remote work arrangements.
