School Psychologist
Reports to:
Special Programs Manager
Anticipated Salary: $60,000 - $79,000. This is an exempt position.
Time Off Plan: 10 days of PTO, 8 weeks of summer break, all teacher/counselor holidays.
Job DescriptionThe School Psychologist provides psychological evaluation services including assessments, reports, educational recommendations, consultation, therapy, and other applicable educational services for students in the school.

- Ensures all newly received documents (evaluation team reports, etc.) are compliant; takes the necessary steps when needed.
- Ensures all existing documents are compliant following state guidelines.
- Administers academic and other assessments to currently enrolled students per mandated time frames.
- Leads evaluation team report meetings; participates in the school's intervention assistance team.
- Assists the Special Education Director in developing and leading professional development for staff and parents; works closely with guidance counselors to provide training in emotional health.
- Keeps abreast of changing legislative issues impacting special education eligibility; assists with implementation of school procedures and projects.
- Serves on school committees and participates in professional development sessions.
- Assists with national K12 efforts, including special projects, tasks, policies, and procedures development.
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree
- Previous experience as a school psychologist
- Valid South Carolina educator certification with a school psychology certification field
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook; experience using databases; web proficiency
- Ability to clear required background check

All staff must reside in South Carolina.
Travel Expectations- Attend local student outings 1–2 times per semester.
- Attend in‑person professional development 1–3 times per semester.
- Attend back‑to‑school professional development in July (1–3 consecutive days).
- Participate in in‑person student testing.
- Travel within South Carolina for assessments.
- Additional details on travel will be provided in the interview process.

This is a full‑time, annual contract position. Ability to work independently (typically 40+ hours per week) and maintain a professional home office is required.
Incumbents will follow other instructions and perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
