**** Part-Time Instrumental Ensemble Instructor  (Jazz Ensemble/Concert Band)
** The Division of Arts and Humanities at Penn State Abington is seeking a part time instructor of our instrumental ensembles beginning
** August 2026**. This is a one semester, non-tenure track appointment with the possibility of reappointment. Candidates with a student-centered, innovative, and engaging approach to teaching are encouraged to apply.#

Job Duties
* Direct one or two instrumental ensembles per semester.  +
* MUSIC 82 – Concert Band*  +
* MUSIC 84/421 – Jazz Ensemble/Jazz Combo
** Be available to teach on campus on weekday evenings, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  MUSIC 82 currently meets on
** Mondays**; MUSIC 84/421 currently meets on
** Wednesdays**.
* Select an appropriate repertoire to be performed at an on-campus recital each semester.
* Be available for additional public/campus performance opportunities during the semester.
* Additional opportunities for teaching private lessons in their instrument(s) of expertise may be available.# Requirements and Qualifications
* MFA preferred. MA in a relevant field is required.
* Equivalent professional experience or training will be considered.
* Experience teaching at the college level is highly desirable.
