A Special Education Teacher position is available to support high school students in a contract role lasting through the school year. This part-time opportunity involves approximately 20 hours per week, providing specialized instruction and support tailored to the unique learning needs of students with disabilities.



Key Responsibilities Include

• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in compliance with legal standards and best practices.
• Adapting curriculum content to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
• Monitoring and documenting student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student growth and independence.
• Managing behavioral challenges with effective intervention techniques to support a safe learning environment.

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with high school-aged students with a variety of disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and IEP development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to create engaging and accessible lesson plans and materials.
• Patience, flexibility, and dedication to student success.
