Position: Part-Time Accounting Adjunct - Online & In-Person (CPA)

Job Summary

The Accounting Department in the School of Business at Mercy College seeks part-time, adjunct instructors to teach a variety of accounting courses, including Advanced Accounting and Auditing to both undergraduate and graduate students, starting with the Spring 2026 semester. Candidates must be available and able to teach in various modalities (in-person and online).

Successful candidates may be offered the opportunity to teach up to two sections of any given course, with a maximum of three course assignments per semester. Commitment to teaching with inclusive excellence is required.

Candidates may also be asked to assist with program curricular and professional activities and to attend select programmatic or professional development meetings.

Schedule:Evening and daytime teaching.

Location:Courses may be offered at the Dobbs Ferry, Manhattan, or Bronx campuses, or online (synchronous and/or asynchronous).

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience successfully teaching accounting courses at the college-level
    • Experience with online teaching and learning
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
    • Experience building course syllabi and curriculum development preferred

Education Requirements:

  • Masters or Doctorate from accredited institution in an appropriate academic discipline
