Position: Regional Coordinator, Ohio Recruitment

Position Overview

The Office of Undergraduate Admission is seeking a Regional Coordinator for Ohio Recruitment to represent the University of Arizona. The Coordinator will manage all recruitment efforts in the Columbus area, oversee budget and travel, and serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students, parents, and high school counselors.

If located in Columbus, the position is eligible for a 5%–10% geographic differential added to the base salary. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities Travel and Territory Management
  • Serve as a primary resource for prospective students and families, supporting recruitment, application processes, and enrollment.
  • Plan, organize, and attend recruitment events, fairs, and visits in the daytime, evenings, and weekends.
  • Identify, register, and attend high school, college, and transfer fairs within the assigned territory.
  • Manage the budget for the territory, including purchasing travel expenses and submitting timely expense reports.
  • Assist other regional admission staff with events and programs, providing support outside the assigned territory when needed.
  • Travel frequently for in‑state and out‑of‑state meetings and events, requiring a valid driver’s license, insurance, and a personal vehicle.
  • Communicate the value of an Arizona education through conversations, presentations, and written communication.
  • Provide initial financial aid and scholarship guidance.
  • Support students to complete applications by submitting required materials within the territory, meeting key dates and deadlines.
  • Oversee the management of the territory market to establish benchmarks and reach recruitment goals.
Application Review
  • Read, evaluate, and recommend admissions decisions through a comprehensive model for students from the assigned territory.
  • Counsel applicants, parents/guardians, and counselors on the application process, admissions decisions, and merit scholarships.
  • Utilize training, judgment, and experience to consider each student's full academic history and life experiences for admission recommendations.
  • Participate in committee review and shared decision‑making.
  • Use Technolutions Slate CRM and analytical tools to maintain a consistent, data‑driven, bias‑free process aligned with university goals.
Relationship Building
  • Counsel prospective students and families on admissions, financial aid, academic programs, and student life.
  • Maintain professional affiliations locally, regionally, and nationally, aligned with enrollment goals.
  • Engage via SMS, email, and phone with timely follow‑up.
  • Accurately record engagement, interactions, and work across multiple university systems.
  • Develop partnerships with community college advisors and other campus partners.
  • Communicate and coordinate with high school counselors and advisors to nurture relationships and establish rapport.
Strategic Recruitment
  • Research, design, and implement strategic recruitment activities with supervisors and enrollment leadership.
  • Coordinate recruitment programs, projects, activities, and events to cultivate and recruit prospective students.
  • Utilize analytical tools and research skills to pursue new recruitment and enrollment opportunities.
  • Stay current on higher education and admissions profession topics.
  • Liaise with internal campus partners and external stakeholders to support university objectives.
  • Represent the university at professional conferences and related events.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Ability to help students in a higher education setting.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative skills to manage competing responsibilities with colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively to meet goals and deadlines.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Relationship‑building skills with educators, professionals, students, and families.
  • Knowledge of laws and guiding principles of recruitment work, including FERPA.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive per the university Fleet Safety Policy; own transportation required and ability to travel statewide.
  • Fingerprint clearance required after hire.
  • Must live or relocate to the greater Columbus Metropolitan Area.
  • Ability to travel internationally; valid passport required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience in higher education.
  • Remote work experience.
