Job Description:
Marriage & Family Therapy is seeking a part-time instructor to teach MFT
686 (3 credits) Play Therapy with Children and Families (Online MFT MA Program) during the Spring 2026 semester. Course
Description:
Examines the assessment and psychotherapeutic treatment of children and families through play therapy. Working with children and families in crisis including loss, abuse, and illness, is a particular focus. The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per-credit-rate history within the hiring department. All course offerings are subject to funding availability and enrollment.
Qualifications:
MA or PhD, and previous teaching experience. LMFT or equivalent.
Responsibilities:
Developing and/or updating class syllabus;
Preparation of lectures, projects or other student assignments;
Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours;
Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course;
Meeting all designated class periods;
Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations;
Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner;
Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations;
Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
