Job Overview

School Leadership focuses on leading and managing areas of business operations within the school including: leading development and implementation of plans, policies, and strategies in support of business objectives; creating and tracking key performance metrics; collaborating with internal stakeholders to support initiatives that drive operational and financial performance and growth.

Bachelor’s degree, 0–1 year of related professional experience.

Certificates and Licenses:
Arizona Administrator Teaching Certification.

Residency Requirements:
Remote; strongly prefers candidates residing in Arizona; may consider surrounding states.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure conformance of educational programs to state and local school board standards through evaluation, development and coordination activities.
  • Research and implement non‑K12 curriculum resources that meet state standards.
  • Help articulate the school’s mission and vision with the aim of ensuring all stakeholders have a common understanding and are positioned to work cooperatively to achieve desired results.
  • Utilize communication technologies and practices that support a predominantly virtual/remote work environment.
  • Ensure the school meets the needs of students while complying with local, state, and federal laws regarding special education and other categorical programs (e.g., TitleI, LAP, CTE).
  • Interface with students, families, local municipal court systems, and local districts regarding compliance related to student attendance and engagement.
  • Develop and oversee implementation of the school’s Student Achievement Improvement Plan.
  • Supervise and evaluate teaching staff; manage teacher performance, provide training, and support professional development.
  • Manage Master and Lead Teachers and programs; confer with teachers, students, and parents regarding educational and behavioral problems.
  • Coordinate with teacher and K12 enrollment regarding expulsions and withdrawals.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Directly supervise 15–30 full‑time equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
Minimum

Required Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Master’s degree and five (5) years of educational experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to clear required background check.
Other

Required Qualifications
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.).
  • Web proficiency.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, etc.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience as an online educator.
  • Previous administrative experience.
Compensation & Benefits

Stride, Inc. considers education, experience, and qualifications along with work location, expected quality and quantity of work, and travel when determining salary level. Salaries will differ based on position level and expected contribution; offers are typically in the bottom half of the range.
