Aalto University Coordinator Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Coordinator for the School of Engineering's Learning Services.
Position:
Coordinator (Academic Affairs)
Employment Type:
Temporary (Covering a Vacancy) for the period 17.8.2026 – 31.10.2027. As a Coordinator, you will work as part of the School of Engineering's Learning Services in collaboration with program directors, teachers, and students.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing services and advice to students and teachers on academic matters, especially concerning master's programs.
- Tasks related to the graduation process.
- Handling student applications, including study plans, graduation applications, additional time requests, approvals.
- Secretarial duties for the Education Council and Teaching Excellence Assessment Group.
- Coordination of domestic internship grants.
- Coordination of teaching implementation (lecture and exam scheduling).
- Communication and website updates.
- Other possible tasks within learning services.
Your qualifications should include:
- An appropriate higher education degree.
- Ability to advise students and teachers smoothly in both Finnish and English; knowledge of Swedish is considered an advantage.
- A proactive, independent, accurate, and solution-oriented working style.
- Readiness to operate in a multilingual and cultural environment.
- Ability to manage several parallel tasks and schedules.
- Good digital skills and interest in learning new systems; experience with Sisu, Moodle/MyCourses, Salesforce, Power BI, Teams, and Drupal systems and use of artificial intelligence tools is considered an advantage.
- Experience and knowledge in academic administration, learning services, or the higher education sector is considered an advantage.
- Actively follow and analyze data as part of your work.
- A development-oriented team worker who can also support colleagues in change.
- Excellent communication and service skills, and the ability to communicate clearly across different channels.

The employment is temporary until the end of October 2027. The salary will be determined according to Aalto University's university salary system. The salary range is approximately euros, depending on the candidate's experience. The start date is 17.8.2026 or according to agreement. An earlier start is also possible.
