Job Description SummaryTakes primary responsibility for faculty and student development and support for the ePortfolio, co-curricular transcript and service and experiential learning as they relate to the Miami Integrated Learning experience. Will think strategically about how to help faculty members and departments integrate each of these into their courses and programs. Will track and report on the use of ePortfolio and co-curricular transcript as well as the number and type of classroom-based service and experiential learning opportunities in which students engage across campus.
Will collaborate closely with the Coordinator of Assessment & Reporting on assessment tasks relating to ePortfolios and co-curricular transcripts.
- Support ePortfolio Development and Implementation
- Provide faculty development in collaboration with HCWE and CTE
- Coordinate student workshops/support for ePortfolio design and assignment/reflection revision in Collaboration with HCWE
- Work with department chairs to integrate ePortfolios into capstone courses
- Collaborate with the MILO Director and the Assistant Dir for Curricular Strategy and Implementation to assess the effectiveness of the ePortfolio and students' learning in MILE courses
- Provide reports as requested regarding use and effectiveness of ePortfolios across campus
- Support use of co-curricular transcript in courses and programs
- Collaborate with Student Life, the "owner" of Miami Central, on use of the software for the purposes of MILE
- Support faculty and department chairs in understanding the value of Miami Central for making coursework visible
- Provide information and support for advisors as they work with students using the co-curricular transcript in Miami Central
- Provide reports as requested regarding students' skill development and experiential learning as documented in the co-curricular transcript
- Support department chairs who seek to use co-curricular transcript for their majors
- Provide centralized support and oversight for service & experiential learning
- Provide support for faculty integrating service/experiential learning into their courses
- Advocate for resources and partnerships for service and experiential learning in coursework
- Work closely with Center for Career Exploration and Success to ensure that coursework and career advising are aligned
- Provide reports as requested regarding number and type of course-based service and experiential learning activities
- Master's degree
- Three years of teaching experience
- Three years of experience designing and organizing programming, and with program assessment
- Excellent communication skills
- PhD or other terminal degree
- Experience teaching with ePortfolios
- Experience leading faculty development programming
- Experience with scholarship of teaching and learning
- Experience leading program assessment and writing assessment reports
