Faculty and instructors are responsible for curriculum, teaching, service, scholarship, and related administrative activities that support the mission, vision, and values of the university. The College of Science, Technology, and Health at Lindenwood University invites applications for an Instructor/Assistant Professor of Nursing. Qualified applicants will possess at minimum a master’s degree in nursing with specialization in nursing education (preferred). The successful candidate will teach approximately five courses (15 credit hours) each semester in nursing, advise and mentor students, advance their expertise through research and scholarship, and participate in faculty governance and campus life.
This is a full‑time, 9‑month faculty position beginning Fall 2026, with reviews starting February 1 2026 until filled. Faculty may be assigned to didactic, skills laboratory/simulation, or clinical environments.
The job includes the following key responsibilities:
- Design courses and foster rigor, inclusiveness, and engagement across diverse student populations.
- Deliver instruction in various modalities, including classroom, laboratory/simulation, and clinical settings.
- Advise and mentor students, supporting their academic progression and professional development.
- Contribute to scholarship and research in nursing, pursuing continuous professional growth.
- Serve faculty governance and contribute to campus and university initiatives.

- Graduate nursing degree.
- Unencumbered RN license in the State of Missouri or a compact state; otherwise able to obtain a non‑compact state license.
- Preference for candidates with nursing education or teaching experience at the undergraduate level (BSN experience preferred).
- Rank depends upon qualifications:
Terminal degree required for Assistant Professor rank; MSN for Instructor rank.

- Variable environments for online instructors; requires 24/7 access to a compliant computer and high‑speed internet.
- Remote work exceptions available at the administrator’s discretion.
- Stamina to teach classes as required.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to meet on‑campus requirements for classes and duties.
