Applicants for lecturer positions must hold at least a master’s degree in health administration or a closely related field with relevant work experience. Applicants for a teaching assistant professor position must hold a terminal degree in health administration or a closely related field with relevant work experience.
The department seeks applicants whose expertise includes health care finance, human resources, leadership, and quality management. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellence in teaching both face‑to‑face and online environments and will be open to advising, coaching, and mentoring students.
Minimum Qualifications- Master’s degree in health administration or a related field for lecturer positions.
- Terminal degree in health administration or a related field for teaching assistant professor positions.
- Relevant work experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
- Strong teaching experience in undergraduate and/or graduate courses.
- Teach undergraduate courses in healthcare systems, leadership, quality management, operations, project management, and data management primarily online.
- Develop and deliver course materials and assignments.
- Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.
- Advise, coach, and mentor students.
- Participate in service activities at the program, department, college, university, profession, and community levels.
- Remote teaching positions are considered for qualified candidates.
- Commit to teaching excellence in both traditional and online formats.
- Engage in service activities at the program, department, college, university, profession, and community levels.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position offers a full‑time appointment of 1.0 year with 11 months of service (four month, four month, two month workload). The role is a 11‑month position; remote teaching may be considered.
Additional InformationConsideration of ABD: ABD with a reduction in rank and salary may be considered if the dissertation is successfully defended by July 31 (fall hire) or November 30 (spring hire). If not, the candidate will receive a one‑year fixed‑term contract at the rank of Instructor with a reduced salary.
No ABD consideration: only candidates with an earned doctorate or terminal degree will be considered.
