Senior Instructional Designer
Exciting, hybrid opportunity for one of our innovative clients as a Senior Instructional Designer. You will develop training, train-the-trainer, and support materials for District personnel to train new employees after new employees graduate from corporate training. You will develop, deliver, maintain, and ensure consistency and quality in training tools, manuals, and systems, utilizing One Net, First Reference, the Client's Learning Management System (LMS), and other delivery methods.
More specifically, you will design, develop, deliver, and maintain multi-media course materials and training collateral; select appropriate instructional methods for the target audience; partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to resolve content gaps or ambiguities; collaborate with field and Home Office stakeholders to identify training requirements and refine content; and effectively communicate instructional design concepts and processes to customers. This role requires strong end-to-end instructional design experience across analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
Position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience using a formal instructional design methodology. Knowledge of curriculum and training design principles is essential, along with a practical understanding of adult learning theory and its application. Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are required. Experience with Articulate 360 and Adobe Suite is needed. Advanced proficiency in Articulate Storyline (beyond Rise), including building, editing, publishing, and troubleshooting interactive content, is required.
Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro or a comparable tool, is required. Video creation skills, including experience with Powtoon, are preferred. Familiarity with tools such as LOVO and Canva is a plus. Strong preference for experience working in an Agile environment. Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are required.
A consistent, proactive communication style is essential, as the role partners closely with stakeholders throughout the design lifecycle. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong editing ability, are required. Adaptability to shifting priorities in a dynamic environment is essential. Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools and Learning Management Systems is required. Completion of advanced training in instructional design and/or e-learning is strongly preferred.
