Pay Range: $1,483 - $1,800 per credit
Pay Determination:
Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months' salary unless otherwise specified.

Job Description:
The Department of Psychology is seeking a part-time instructor to teach PSY
880 School Psychology Practicum during the Fall semester beginning August, 2026 (3 credits). Course description:
Supervised experience in school settings, applying direct and indirect psychological services with outcome evaluation. Consideration of legal and ethical issues and broader community context for child-related services. The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on their per-credit-rate-history within the hiring department. This position is contingent on funding availability and enrollment.
Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field.
Responsibilities:
As part of your teaching assignment as a Part-time Instructor, your duties will include the following: developing and/or updating a class syllabus; ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date; preparing lectures, projects or other student assignments; maintaining regularly scheduled office hours of two hours per week; presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the class;
meeting all designated class periods. If you are unable to meet with your class due to illness or emergency, you should exercise your best effort to reschedule the class or to obtain a substitute. You must also notify the department chair or their designated contact of your absence and of your plan to cover the class; working with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes;
submitting completed final grades according to University regulations; grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner; providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations; completing all other course-related duties as outlined by your department's policies for part-time instructors.
