Adjunct Faculty Opportunity
South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) seeks highly motivated and qualified candidates for the positions of Psychology Adjunct Professor to teach in our Social Sciences division. The Psychology Adjunct Professor will embrace change, risk-taking, and innovation and place student success at the center of all decision-making. Ability to teach a range of Psychology courses, to include:
- General Psychology
- Lifespan Psychology
Course Schedules
- Hybrid courses typically meet two days per week (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday) and run for 65 minutes, with start times as follows: 8:40 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:20 a.m., or 12:40 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Psychology or related area from an accredited college or university and teaching experience at the college level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to teach both asynchronous online and hybrid courses with an in-person component on the Mottman Road campus in Olympia.
- Experience using a variety of instructional methodologies to support diverse learners.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering curriculum that teaches critical thinking and multicultural competencies.
