OverviewBILT Incorporated is a fast‑growing SaaS company revolutionizing instructions and training for consumers and professional technicians. BILT creates official 3D Intelligent Instructions for thousands of products from hundreds of brands, hosted on a free mobile app. The Global Brand Support Center is in the Dallas‑Ft. Worth metroplex.
About the JobBILT is building the future of skilled trades education, and we need someone who can translate complex HVAC systems, procedures, and concepts into clear, structured, learnable content. This role will design a foundational HVAC 101 course for the BILT platform's 3D animated instruction format.
What You'll Do- Design and develop a comprehensive HVAC 101 course curriculum covering foundational systems, components, tools, safety, and core maintenance procedures.
- Write step‑by‑step instructional content for BILT's 3D animated instruction platform.
- Define learning objectives, course structure, and assessment criteria aligned to industry certification standards (EPA 608, NATE, or equivalent).
- Collaborate with product and animation teams to translate written procedures into visual, animated instruction sets.
- Ensure all content meets employer and workforce standards so graduates are genuinely job‑ready.
- Demonstrated experience designing technical or trades‑based instructional content – HVAC experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems: refrigeration cycles, electrical, airflow, controls, and service procedures.
- Strong writing and communication skills – able to explain a complex procedure to someone unfamiliar with the equipment.
- Experience working with subject matter experts to extract and structure technical knowledge.
- Familiarity with instructional design frameworks (ADDIE, backwards design, or equivalent).
- Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, startup environment with evolving requirements.
- Experience with LMS platforms, mobile learning, or visual/animated instruction is a plus.
- HVAC industry certifications (EPA 608, NATE) or hands‑on field experience is a strong plus.
- HVAC 101 course outline and full learning objective map completed and approved.
- At least two complete modules of step‑by‑step instructional content delivered and ready for animation.
- Content validated by at least one industry partner or employer for job‑readiness alignment.

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, tablets, phones, email, and communication programs (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
Physical DemandsThe employee is regularly required to talk or listen, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires the employee to lift at least 25 pounds infrequently.
