Job Summary

This role is primarily responsible for facilitating and delivering virtual instructor‑led training, with a core focus on Epic Cadence & Grand Central applications. The position is heavily presentation‑focused, with approximately 4–5 days per week dedicated to leading training sessions, guiding learners through workflows, and supporting end‑user adoption. While the initial emphasis will be on Cadence & Grand Central training, there is opportunity for cross‑credentialing in additional applications, with the expectation that the trainer will become fully cross‑trained and capable of facilitating all assigned classes.

During non‑training time, the role includes administrative and coordination responsibilities, such as maintaining class rosters, monitoring attendance, communicating with fellow trainers and end users, and supporting overall training operations. This role does not focus on training content development.

Hours:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of Cadence & Grand Central experience in a training setting
  • Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience delivering virtual instructor‑led training (VILT)
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience using Microsoft 365 applications, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Teams
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Billing and revenue cycle management experience
  • Epic system experience
  • Experience creating and editing instructional content using Camtasia
Key Responsibilities
  • Delivers orientation, on‑boarding, and career ladder pathway training for all staff.
  • Administers classroom evaluations and provides course updates to management.
  • Uses software programs to develop learning materials. Applies strategies of adult learning as well as appropriate instructional strategies to optimize learning.
  • Ensures that all material is current and distributes updated material to participants. Available to train all necessary classes, including some weekend and after‑hours classes. Follows all required facilitator notes and procedures.
  • Consults as needed for special projects that require knowledge of computerized applications or processes that affect patient care and/or new implementation.
  • Collaborates within the department and organization.

Technical Capabilities
  • Applications System Design (Novice):
    The creative process that captures and displays the original intention and concept of a business system requirement in an imaginative and often unique way. It pulls together the different components of an applications system and may follow the guidelines of a systems development methodology.
  • Instructional Design (Intermediate):
    The systematic development of specifications using learning and instructional theory to ensure the quality of instruction.
  • Adult Learning Theory (Intermediate):
    Knowledge of the principles and practices of providing instruction to the adult learner. Able to focus adult learning goals and the ability to direct their own learning.
