What

You'll Do

The Professional Learning Coach provides the highest quality professional learning, in person and online, focused on supporting teachers and leaders with implementation of their HMH solutions. This work focuses on onboarding, planning, improving instructional learning practices, and supporting increased student achievement. The Coach is an HMH ambassador, promoting services, curriculum solutions, and resources. You will lead by example, invite educators to deepen their knowledge, and challenge their thinking.

The Professional Learning Coach is a reflective practitioner who invests in learning for themselves and others.

Working in Professional Services, you will be responsible for the following primary duties:

  • Training and

    Coaching:

    Brings content to life and facilitates meaningful learning experiences
    • Dynamic Facilitation
      :
      In‑Person, willing to travel, and Online coaching
      • Responsible for the delivery of direct, revenue‑generating service events (weekly availability must reflect the ability for customer to confirm a minimum of 10 hours/week).
      • Works to maintain an individual standard of Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) of 90% or higher and a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 55 or higher for session facilitation and coaching.
      • Provides focused, meaningful, and relevant professional learning and coaching experiences.
      • Plans and prepares with a flexible and engaging approach to adult teaching and learning.
      • Demonstrates digital fluency with a variety of tools to drive engagement, collaboration, and learning.
      • Amplifies and elevates diverse teachers' voices.
      • Demonstrates versatility to be responsive to teacher and district needs.
      • Personifies HMH values through actions and intentional language.
    • Student‑Centered Coaching
      • Leads solution‑centered conversations and messaging with educators focused on student growth.
      • Uses a variety of coaching practices to further teacher‑selected goals.
      • Recommends connected HMH resources to support instruction when appropriate.
      • Uses assessment and report data to individualize and differentiate support.
  • Account Preparation and Support:
    Accepts assignments, prepares for delivery within their content expertise, and communicates effectively to customers and HMH staff (in writing, through conversations, Salesforce, and Box)
    • Is responsive within 24 business hours to internal partners and customers.
    • Maintains an up‑to‑date calendar, with ample availability for staffing/scheduling of events.
    • Uses Salesforce to review account and session information to understand the learning needs of teachers or leaders who will participate.
    • Communicates with the customer and/or internal Services staff to ensure support is aligned with district/school needs and goals are consistent.
    • Reviews and contributes to account notes as appropriate to ensure a continuity of service is possible for the life of the account.
