Chester County Futures works closely with students, families, schools, and community partners to provide academic guidance, personal development, and college and career readiness services.
Role DescriptionThe Student Services Coordinator is a part‑time school year role responsible for supporting students through advising, resource coordination, and as the primary point of contact for all aspects of program administration. This position is active in 5 area Chester County high schools, with a mix of on‑site work and some work from home.
Day‑to‑day responsibilities include:
- Meeting 1x weekly with students to discuss academic progress, financial aid options, and post‑secondary plans.
- Coordinating meetings, workshops, and events with staff.
- Maintaining accurate records of student participation and outcomes.
- Communicating regularly with students, families, and school personnel.
- Responding to inquiries and ensuring students are connected with appropriate services.
- Classroom management, contributing to program improvement, and assisting with outreach and enrollment.
- Collaborating with colleagues to deliver a positive, inclusive student experience.
- Strong student advising and support skills, including Student Counseling and Education experience.
- Knowledge of Student Financial Aid processes and post‑secondary funding options.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills for interacting with students, families, and school partners.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and a commitment to equity and inclusion.
- Effective organizational and time‑management skills, with attention to detail in record‑keeping and follow‑up.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment (on‑site in the school and from home as needed).
- Proficiency with basic office software and data management tools; familiarity with student information or CRM systems is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
