positions available:
- infant toddler educator: basic function: under supervision and the direction of the master teacher, performs the necessary duties to assist in the planning and implementation of a comprehensive full year child development program for infants/toddlers.
- preschool associate teacher: basic function: under the direction of a program administrator, assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive child development program for preschool aged children; provide support to students and parents.
- preschool teacher: basic function: under the direction of a program administrator, implement a center or home-based education program for eligible preschool children assuring compliance with the performance standards of head start or state required program and other appropriate guidelines; develop education plans to meet assessed needs; interpret family and child eligibility for federal and state programs.
requirements / qualifications:
substitute child development application valid california child development permit the following documents are required at the time of application: copies of transcripts showing child development units pediatric cpr/first aid certification - in person training required (special note: copies of permits should include the name of the permit, permit details, authorizations, and expiration date. You may obtain a copy from the california commission on teacher credentialing website at )
the following documents are not required at time of application, but will be required if offered employment:
• department of justice/fbi/caci fingerprint clearance
• tuberculosis clearance
• sb 792 immunizations clearance.
• physical/lift test/drug screen clearance
• official transcripts
