Job Description SummaryThis is a yearly recurring position that is filled through a national match process through the American Psychology Association. There are four identical positions.
Job Description Essential DutiesInterns perform the typical duties of a Counseling Center Psychologist in training with supervision.
Engage in a variety of service experiences including but not limited to:
- Therapy including individual, couples, and group
- Initial evaluations including consultation, diagnosis, triage, and referral
- Assessment including testing and specialized substance use and attention screenings
- Programming and outreach, supervision of trainees, and possibly teaching.
- Must have advanced to doctoral candidacy, passed any required qualifying exams/comprehensive exams, and successfully proposed your dissertation prior to the submission of the ranking list (February
1). Interns come from an American Psychological Association (or Canadian Psychological Association) accredited psychology graduate program. They must also participate in the National Match Process through APPIC.
- Must have been determined "Ready for Internship" by their University or College Director of Training.
