What does this role do at HCPro?The CDI Education Director is a senior leadership role with the Association of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists (ACDIS), reporting to and working closely with the ACDIS Director/Director of CDI and Revenue Integrity.
The CDI Education Director serves as a thought leader for ACDIS, driving educational direction, industry guidance, and running the ACDIS Advisory Board. They serve as an in-house subject matter expert, assisting with articles, answering member questions, providing feedback on product ideas, participating in focus groups and networking events, and serving as an ACDIS representative at internal and external live events.
The CDI Education Director serves as the lead instructor and chief materials author for HCPro's CDI education, including all off-the-shelf and customized training. The CDI Education Director also serves as manager for the CDI Education Specialists, as well as any CDI adjunct instructors.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Managing the education provided in the PROPEL member program.
- Working with the sales team and others in client scope calls to determine client needs and pitch appropriate training.
- Managing CDI boot camp and online learning materials, ensuring relevancy and accuracy.
- Teaching CDI boot camps and PROPEL education.
- Running the ACDIS Advisory Board and driving the development of industry guidelines and best practices.
- Serving as the lead CDI subject matter expert for ACDIS, including writing articles, answering member questions, and participating in the ACDIS Podcast.
- Speaking on behalf of ACDIS at the annual conference and external events as applicable.
- Managing the full-time and adjunct instructor staff.
- Additional duties as assigned.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in Adobe Suite products, preferred.
- Education:
Advanced degree required. - Experience:
Four to ten years' related experience. - Certificates & Licenses:
Candidate must be RN and/or HIM/coding professional (e.g., RHIA, CCS, etc.), CCDS required, CCDS-O preferred.
