The Department of Psychology seeks a part‑time instructor to teach PSY 880:
School Psychology Practicum during the Fall semester beginning August 2026 (3 credits). The course provides supervised experience in school settings, applying direct and indirect psychological services with outcome evaluation, and considers legal, ethical, and community context for child‑related services.

Hiring rate of pay will be determined based on the candidate’s per‑credit‑rate history within the hiring department. This position is contingent on funding availability and enrollment.

• Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field.

• Developing and/or updating a class syllabus.
• Ordering appropriate books and materials before the class starts.
• Preparing lectures, projects, and other student assignments.
• Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours of two hours per week.
• Presenting instruction based on competencies and performance levels of the class.
• Meeting all designated class periods; if unable to meet due to illness or emergency, reschedule or obtain a substitute and notify the department chair or designated contact.
• Working with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes.
• Submitting completed final grades according to University regulations.
• Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
• Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
• Completing all other course‑related duties as outlined by the department’s policies for part‑time instructors.
