Position Summary

The Assistant Vice President of Online, Non-Traditional, and Non-Degree Programs provides strategic leadership and delegated authority for the development, delivery, and growth of the University's online, hybrid, adult-focused, and non-degree academic portfolio. This portfolio includes fully online programs, hybrid and adult-focused offerings, and continuing education initiatives, each requiring distinct pedagogical, operational, and market strategies. Working collaboratively with academic leadership, faculty, and staff, the AVP ensures programs are mission-driven, academically rigorous, financially sustainable, and responsive to student and workforce needs.

The role has primary responsibility for program planning, academic quality assurance, and portfolio performance, and is in close partnership with senior leadership on strategic, operational, and budgetary priorities. Through thoughtful leadership and collaborative engagement, the AVP helps ensure that online and non-traditional programs contribute meaningfully to the University's mission, long-term vitality, and service to learners across life stages.
