Job DescriptionPosition: Online Science teacher
Campus: Kingman Middle School
School Year: 2026-27 (July 08, 2026 - May 19, 2027)

- Work life balance through a 4-day work week, 148‑day employment contract, and 13 weeks off throughout the year.
- Employee health insurance options with some premiums paid at 100% by the District.
- A retirement pension through the Arizona State Retirement System where 100% of your contributions are matched by the District.
- Base Pay: KUSD’s new‑hire salary ranges are determined by years of experience, higher education, and state‑funded Prop 301 money. The base wages combine the contracted salary with $9,000 in Prop 301 money. (Prop 301 money is paid separately and is not included in the employment contract.)
- The salary range for candidates with up to four years of teaching experience is $46,075 - $55,975.
- The salary range for candidates with four or more years of teaching experience is $48,075 - $57,975.
- Performance Pay: In addition to base pay, teachers are eligible for an additional $4,500 in Prop 301 performance pay.
- One‑Time Critical Needs Stipends (pending appropriate teaching certification):
- Math, science, or kindergarten positions may qualify for a one‑time $2,000 stipend.
- Special education positions may qualify for a one‑time $5,000 stipend.
- Available Annual Stipends (pending appropriate teaching certification):
- Special education teachers are eligible for a case‑management stipend of up to $4,000 in FY 2026‑27.
- Special education teachers in ED‑P classrooms may receive a stipend of $10,000 in FY 2026‑27.
- Bachelor's degree or more advanced degree from an accredited institution.
- An Identity‑Verified Print (IVP) fingerprint clearance card through the Arizona Department of Public Safety, or the ability to obtain one prior to the start date.
- Teaching certification through the Arizona Department of
Education: - Arizona Standard Secondary Professional Teaching Certificate with an approved area of General Science, or approved areas in Biology and/or Chemistry.
- SEI, ESL, or Bilingual endorsement issued by the Arizona Department of Education within one year of hire.
Arizona offers an alternative path to certification for those with a bachelor’s or more advanced degree who wish to pursue a teaching career. Individuals following this pathway must enroll in an Arizona Department of Education‑approved teacher preparation program and obtain an Alternative Teaching Certificate to be eligible for hire.
