Executive Dean (ED). - COMPENSATION: $130,000 - $140,000, subject to rank assignment. Includes Administrative Supplement.
The Program Director of Pre-Clinical Education (PD) of Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (LACC) provides administrative leadership to the pre-clinical and concentrations courses of the Doctor of Chiropractic Program PD works with the Executive Dean on program and teaching effectiveness, manages faculty and staff, participates in budget operations and program planning initiatives, promotes service, scholarship and development, and fosters an environment that elevates the program’s reputation.
The PD supports student learning by delivering innovative and engaging course offerings, evidence-based curriculum, and co‑curricular activities. The PD ensures positive relationships with stakeholders and collaborates with the National Director of Clinical Education to integrate the curriculum across pre‑clinical and clinical phases.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Academic Leadership:
Provide operational leadership, management, and guidance for pre‑clinical and concentration courses. Support the ED in articulating vision, ensuring curricular quality, and maintaining accreditation standards. - Accreditation & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with accrediting bodies and regulatory agencies, prepare and submit program reports, and manage quality assurance processes. - Personnel Management:
Oversee faculty and the Administrative Coordinator, support recruitment, hiring, development, and evaluation of staff, and recommend decisions to the Vice‑Provost. - Curriculum Management:
Monitor and revise curriculum, coordinate revisions, and promote innovative teaching methods and scholarship. - Teaching:
Maintain a 3–6 credit teaching load per year. - Continuous Improvement & Assessment:
Develop and maintain a system to evaluate program effectiveness, analyze licensing exam performance, and lead course reviews. - Student Support & Engagement:
Foster inclusive learning environment, coordinate with Academic Support and Student Services, and encourage extracurricular engagement. - Community Outreach & Partnerships:
Represent the program at conferences and develop partnerships with health organizations. - Budget & Resource Management:
Assist in budget development, allocate resources, manage equipment, and pursue cost optimization. - Professional Conduct:
Maintain punctuality, meet attendance standards, and exercise professional judgment regarding physical presence.
This position requires onsite support and attendance in order to meet essential functions such as meeting with students, supporting admissions, official events, teaching and observation, accreditation activities, and maintaining program quality. Remote work arrangements may be discussed with the ED.
