For additional information on remote work at Penn State, see Notice to Out of State Applicants .POSITION SPECIFICS The School of Global Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for part-time lecturer openings for the 2026 – 2027 Academic Year, including Summer 2026.

Job Duties Part-time lecturers will teach undergraduate resident and/or online courses in Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, German and Slavic Languages and Literatures, French and Francophone Studies, Comparative Literature, or Asian Studies.

Requirements and QualificationsA Master’s degree in a related field is  addition, successful candidates must either have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus community, or describe one or more ways they would envision doing so, given the opportunity.

These are one semester or summer session, non-tenure track appointments.

Summer lecturers normally teach one to two courses.
