Position: Leadership Instructor - Middle and High School Summer Camps 2026

Education Unlimited® provides academic summer camps and pre‑college programs for students in grades 4–12, including public speaking, college admissions preparation, science, acting, writing, computer, leadership, video production, and college tours.

Open Positions
  • Online Instructors – Lead classes via Zoom and Google Classroom with 6–8 students per cohort. All curriculum materials are provided, but instructors must have a reliable computer, internet connection, and a quiet, professional environment.
  • On‑Campus Instructors – Available at UCLA, UC Berkeley, Stanford, and Georgetown. These residential roles include housing in university residence halls; limited commuter positions may also be offered to local instructors.
Available Sessions – A+ Leadership (Summer 2026)

We are hiring instructors for the A+ Leadership program at both middle and high school levels, with opportunities for online instruction and campus placements.

Camp Dates

Each camp session lasts one week, running from June 14 to August
9. Instructors may be hired for one or more weeks; applicants should specify available weeks on the application.

High School Leadership Camp – Course Description

Leadership skills are essential across industry and profession. The camp focuses on developing leaders through three key areas of leadership development:

Knowing Yourself as a Leader

Students explore motives, personal values, and management styles through self‑assessment tests, learning how to communicate with diverse leader types.

Communicating with Others

Students develop presentation, meeting management, and professional writing skills.

Each Week of Camp, Students Will
  • Deliver a persuasive or informative presentation
  • Lead peer meetings
  • Write proposals and communicate clearly and professionally
  • Engage in practical, hands‑on experience
Learn by Doing

Weekly projects simulate entrepreneurial and community leadership from planning to execution, including budgeting, delegation, and teamwork.

  • Plan and implement a large‑scale student event
  • Develop and execute a marketing campaign
  • Create and implement a community service project with an action plan
  • Conduct a community needs assessment and present findings with recommended actions
Middle School Leadership Camp

Students rotate through communication, entrepreneurial thinking, and project planning/small team leadership, culminating in a capstone project. The program emphasizes public speaking, negotiation, marketing, budgeting, and project management.

Job Description

The Leadership Instructor will guide students through the Education Unlimited Leadership curriculum, facilitate classroom instruction, provide one‑on‑one feedback, and lead the end‑of‑camp showcase. Instructors will track student work and submit deliverables to the camp director and EU home office.

On‑camp instructors will also support the camp director with active supervision, recreational activities, and administrative tasks. They are expected to act as mentors, guide field trips and excursions, and ensure the health and safety of students while meeting instructional objectives.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching leadership at any level
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Strong background in speech and debate, communications, or significant leadership teaching and mentoring experience
  • A passion for leadership and working with students
  • Professionalism, self‑motivation, and strong follow‑through
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
