We are seeking a state‑certified Special Education Teacher for an online high‑school setting. The teacher will deliver curriculum and individualized instruction in a virtual environment and meet the needs outlined in each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).

• Provide instruction, support, and guidance in an online environment for students with special education needs.
• Communicate with parents and related service staff to ensure appropriate therapies and services are provided.
• Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and other required special education documentation.
• Facilitate and lead collaborative IEP meetings, including annual and development meetings.
• Modify Stride K12 lessons and assessments to meet accommodations and modifications specified by the IEP.
• Ensure inclusion and success of students in the general education classroom.
• Collect data and work samples to monitor progress toward IEP goals and objectives.
• Document all communications with parents and interventions with students.
• Analyze student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment as needed.
• Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
• Maintain grade book, handle student placement and promotion decisions, and alert administrators of concerns.
• Prepare students for high‑stakes standardized tests.
• Travel up to 20% of the time for face‑to‑face professional development and testing.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Active South Carolina Department of Education High School (9‑12) Special Education Teaching Certification.
• Clear required background check.
• Ability to work independently, 40+ hours per week, and maintain a professional home office.

• Experience working with the secondary school age group.
• Experience supporting students using technology.
• Experience teaching online (virtual) and/or in brick‑and‑mortar settings.
• Experience with online learning platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Salary: $53,000 per year plus eligibility for a performance bonus. Benefits include health coverage, retirement contributions, and paid time off, subject to company policy.

Position is fully remote; occasional travel may be required. The teacher will manage instructional time independently and adhere to school‑defined schedules.
