Summary:
The Online Learning Success Coach is responsible for mentoring, motivating, and guiding students enrolled in online coursework. The Coach proactively removes barriers to student achievement by providing direct academic support, tracking progress, and cultivating a positive, high-engagement digital laboratory environment that fosters student accountability and success.
Education and Experience:- An associate degree from a college, university, or community college OR 60 semester hours of satisfactory credit (grade ‘C’ or better) combined from one or more two- or four-year colleges or universities
- Experience working as an academic mentor or substitute teacher preferred.
- Successful experience in tutoring or a secondary education setting preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency using instructional technology to support student learning
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Commitment to student success and professional growth.
- Facilitates the daily operations of the digital learning lab, ensuring the space is welcoming, accessible, and optimized for focused student learning.
- Coaches students individually to set academic goals, establish healthy pacing schedules, and build effective digital study habits.
- Provides ongoing academic support, answers general coursework questions, and delivers targeted interventions when a student faces learning hurdles.
- Monitors real-time student engagement, behavior, and progress in the lab to maintain an environment built on focus and mutual respect
- Manages lab technology, including troubleshooting hardware/software and ensuring students have seamless access to their digital curriculum.
- Partners and communicates proactively with parents, school counselors, and building administration regarding student milestones, attendance, and pacing adjustments.
- Utilizes data to track course completion metrics, celebrating student wins and stepping in early when a student falls behind.

Ability to problem-solve student disengagement, adapt support strategies to diverse learning needs, and apply District guidelines fairly and consistently. - Other Skills & Abilities:
Proficient with online learning platforms and student information systems; direct knowledge and understanding of Power School preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and operate a computer. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 10 pounds, such as student records or learning materials. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.
WorkEnvironment:
Traditional digital classroom/laboratory environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly meets deadlines amidst a fast-paced environment with severe time constraints.

Competitive salary and benefits package. - Schedule:
180 days per year, generally following the TRCS Academic Calendar. Includes non-working days during winter, spring, and summer breaks, as well as designated holidays.
