About the Position
Adjunct Faculty Teaching – Psychology Department, University of Alaska Anchorage. This part‑time, temporary position involves teaching undergraduate courses in the Psychology Department and may include face‑to‑face or hybrid instructional modes.
ResponsibilitiesTeach assigned lower‑division (100‑200) and/or upper‑division (300‑400) courses, develop syllabi, assess student learning, collaborate with faculty, and participate in department meetings as required.
Minimum QualificationsLower‑division (100‑200) courses
- At least 30 graduate credits in psychology (PSY prefix)
- Master’s degree from an accredited institution or active enrollment in a Ph.D. program in clinical‑community psychology
- Relevant experience for teaching the specific course (e.g., graduate coursework, training, professional work)
Upper‑division (300‑400) courses
- At least 30 graduate credits in psychology (PSY prefix)
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) from an accredited institution or a relevant Master’s plus advanced certification (BCBA or BCBA‑D) for behavior analysis courses
- Relevant teaching experience for the specific course
Graduate (600‑level) courses
- At least 30 graduate credits in psychology (PSY prefix)
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) in psychology or a closely related discipline, or a relevant Master’s plus advanced certification (BCBA or BCBA‑D) for behavior analysis courses
- Relevant teaching or professional experience for the course
Applicants who do not meet all criteria may be considered if they provide a persuasive justification for an exception.
Position DetailsLocation:
University of Alaska Anchorage campus, Anchorage, Alaska. Part‑time adjunct. Compensation follows the UNAD CBA adjunct salary schedule, based on education and experience. This is a pooled position and may be canceled at the university’s discretion.
