The Native American Center for Health Professions (NACHP) is located in the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) with the mission to improve the recruitment, retention and graduation rates of health professions students engaged with Tribal communities and to promote health education, research and community‑academic partnerships with Tribal communities.

The Improving Indigenous Health through Mentorship, Academics, Engagement and Innovation (IIMAGIN) is a three‑year initiative, grant funded by the Wisconsin Partnership Program (WPP). This position serves as the primary point of contact for project activities including visiting student opportunities, engagement with various departments within SMPH and UW Health that support resident, faculty, fellow and trainee recruitment and engagement, and resident and faculty engagement with NACHP activities.

This position will assist the NACHP TEO (Tribal Engagement Office) with coordination of faculty research projects and student research opportunities within tribal communities, and assist with tribal clinic rotation coordination and communication for students and residents/fellows.

This position will organize and communicate NACHP Advisory Council activities, lead alumni and Advisory Council engagement opportunities, and maintain tracking of faculty recruitment and retention.
