  • Salary: $46,781 – $52,940 (10-month teaching positions, rank determined by collective bargaining agreement)

    Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm (additional evening/weekend hours may be required)
General Summary

The primary responsibilities of faculty are to teach and develop the curriculum.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education or related field for activity classes (master’s preferred for lecture classes).
  • Teaching experience required for lecture classes; preferred for activity classes.
  • Current CPR and AED certifications required for all instructors.
  • Certification to teach Health and Physical Education preferred.

Duties
  • Teach and develop curriculum.
  • Create and deliver learning experiences supporting student learning outcomes.
  • Employ teaching methods to design and maintain an engaging learning environment.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback.
  • Maintain classroom environment reflecting the college’s mission and values.
  • Participate in program and discipline activities related to curriculum development and implementation.
  • Contribute to program reviews and strategic planning with recommendations for curriculum, staffing, facilities, and equipment.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Integrate relevant educational technology tools into teaching.
  • Participate in department, division, campus, and college meetings and committees.
  • Maintain weekly office hours as required by the CBA.
  • Perform other related duties as outlined in the CBA.
