Pay Range: $62,400

Job Description:
The Residence Director for the South Campus Community engages in day-to-day operational, administrative, and programmatic initiatives supporting Residential Living. The position serves approximately 2,400 students residing in University-owned South Campus apartments and traditional residence halls while also supporting initiatives serving more than 12,000 students living in off-campus neighborhoods, including commuter students.
Responsibilities include development and implementation of the community's educational curriculum; mentoring and coaching up to nine Resident Advisors; crisis intervention and conflict mediation; participation in an on-call crisis response rotation; resolution of violations of institutional policies and the Code of Student Conduct; planning and implementing programs designed to support students transitioning to more independent living; and coordinating outreach and engagement efforts that support student wellbeing and community expectations.
The Residence Director maintains a visible presence within the South Campus community and works closely with students, student employees, campus partners, and professional staff to support student engagement, community development, conflict resolution, and preparation for successful off-campus living.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred, and prior Residence Life/Student Affairs experience is preferred. Other Relevant Experiences Considered:
Experience working with apartment-style/independent living environments preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong administrative skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong ability to handle multiple priorities and work across many different constituencies. Knowledge of student organization advising and conflict resolution skills.
