Physics Instructor Online & Evening Classes

• Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Physics courses up to 10 hours/week
• Organize and teach all levels of Physics classes
• Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning
• Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses
• Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester
• Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired

• Master’s in physics, astronomy, or astrophysics
• Or Bachelor’s in physics or astronomy and Master’s in engineering, mathematics, meteorology, or geophysics
• Or the equivalent under the district’s equivalency procedures
• Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students

• Experience teaching physics to community college students
