Sinica Education delivers online academic programs and support services for international middle school, high school, and college students. Our offerings include short courses, academic counseling, one‑on‑one instruction, and guided study support.
Position OverviewWe are hiring part‑time instructors to teach humanities‑focused high school and early‑college courses. Candidates who can cover multiple subjects up to AP level and some introductory college courses are strongly preferred. Mandarin speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply!
Work Format- Common class times:
Weekday afternoons/evenings (EST) and weekends
Honors (selected areas):
English/Literature:
English 9–12, British Literature, World Literature, Advanced Writing.
AP courses.
College‑Level CoursesLiterature & Writing:
Introduction to Literature, World Literature, Shakespeare, Creative Writing, Literary Theory, Comparative Literature.
History:
World History (various periods), U.S. History (various periods), European History (Ancient–Modern), History of Science and Ideas.
Philosophy:
Introductory Philosophy, Ethics, Logic/Critical Thinking, Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion, Historical Philosophy Surveys.
Religious Studies:
World Religions, Major Religious Traditions (survey), Religion and Society, Bible as Literature.
Arts & Culture:
Art History, Western and Non‑Western Art, Music Appreciation, History of Music, Theatre/Drama Studies, Film Studies.
All humanities subject areas are welcome; instructional needs vary by term.
Open Roles- Full‑time onsite positions (West Los Angeles) – please apply to the appropriate posting.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from top 30 US or Canadian Colleges and Universities.
- Strong interest in teaching and supporting international students across varied levels.
- Teaching experience at the high‑school or college level.
- Tutoring experience if no prior classroom teaching.
- Familiarity with AP curricula.
- Experience with online learning platforms.
