The Pre-Employment Training Instructor works directly with individuals, their support team, the local school system, and the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency to provide individualized and customized classroom-based course instruction to students with an IEP, 504 Plan, or otherwise documented disabilities. The main purpose and function of the Pre-Employment Training Instructor is to provide vocational skills, tools, and techniques to those they are teaching.
The Pre-Employment Training Instructor reports to the Director of Pre-ETS.
To provide holistic employment services while practicing and promoting full inclusion and diversity within the workforce and the community.

Essential Duties:- Communicate spoken and written information and ideas
- Present daily lesson activities and lead group activities
- Utilize curriculum to develop customized lesson plans for each class
- Adapt curriculum and content to appropriately deliver lessons to all students
- Communicate progress with Program Coordinator and parents/guardians as needed
- Coordinate guest speakers (if needed)
- Organize off-campus work-based learning experiences (as needed)
- Set up mock interviews with local industry representatives (as needed)
- Keep meticulous records for each student
- Submit required documents, records, and reports in a timely manner
- Display utmost professionalism in order to keep organization, its name, and its staff above reproach
- Complete and maintain eligibility status for all required trainings
- Exhibit teamwork and a desire to improve the performance of the organization as a whole
Master’s Degree or Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and written documentation (resume) of one year of successful experience and employment in counseling, job placement, job coaching or public vocational rehabilitation program; or Associates in Arts Degree from an accredited college or university and written documentation (resume) of two years of successful experience and employment in counseling, job placement, job coaching or public vocational rehabilitation program
The Pre-Employment Training Instructor position is based at local high schools in and around Glynn, but does require a home office with a lockable cabinet for document storage, high-speed internet, computer, and smartphone. The Pre-ETS Instructor must be able to travel within a one-hour radius of their home office using a reliable personal vehicle. Pre-Employment Training instructors may also be required to go out in the community to meet with students, their supports, or service partners.
A typical work schedule is 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday, however, nights and weekends may be required as determined by student needs. Part-time opportunities may be available. The Pre-ETS Instructor must hold valid and current driver’s license and Automobile Insurance with a minimum coverage of ($50,000/$100,000). Employment is contingent on successful background screening and documentation verification.
