Position: Health Management Online Short-Term 2026-2027 Teaching Position - UMC Business Division

About the Job

This is a short-term and/or temporary online Health Management teaching position for the University of Minnesota – Crookston Campus’s Business Department for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The position is based on enrollment, and there is a possibility that the course and any short‑term teaching role will not be taught during the semester or academic year depending on enrollment needs.

Job Duties
  • Develop and teach courses.
  • Advise students on academic concerns and school‑related organizations.
  • Provide service‑related teaching duties.
  • Participate in decisions regarding policies, courses, and programs in which there is involvement.
  • Engage in continuing personal growth within the profession, keep current with the field, and broaden knowledge and expertise.
  • Deliver high‑quality instruction to undergraduate students in accounting courses.
  • Assist in the development of department goals and objectives.
  • Support research and community outreach in the discipline.
  • Enrich the student experience and support student employment opportunities.
  • Maintain regular office hours.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree, preferably in the teaching discipline.
  • Or, Master’s Degree in another field plus 18 graduate credits in the teaching discipline.
  • Terminal degree in the discipline or related area is preferred.
  • Professional and/or teaching experience related to assigned instructional responsibilities.
  • Willingness to demonstrate self‑awareness, cultural competencies, and achievement in working with diverse student populations.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Eligibility to work within the United States.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $1300‑$1500 per credit based on experience, course, and enrollment; depending on education/qualifications/experience.

Retirement plan options are available for Civil Service, Faculty, Labor‑Represented, Professional & Administrative, and Temp Casual classifications.
