Location:

Purpose:

The OnRamps Course Support position aids in course management in the OnRamps Computer Science course through assessment and thoughtful evaluation of student computer science projects. They provide sustained contributions to ongoing initiatives as well as just-in-time assistance with seasonal and urgent projects.

Responsibilities:

• Maintains accuracy and consistency while grading course assignments and assessments in Canvas Learning Management System.
• Attends calibration meetings and participates in training to align feedback and deepen transferrable skills
• Assists with seasonal and urgent projects that align to the OnRamps mission

Required Qualifications:

• Current undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in Computer Science or related discipline
• Basic knowledge of high school teaching and learning environments
• At least 1 year of experience working in a professional office environment
• Basic knowledge of Programming;
  Google Suite (Slides/Sheets)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in Computer Science or related discipline
• Intermediate – advanced knowledge of high school teaching and learning environments
• More than 1 year of experience working in a professional office environment
• Advanced knowledge of Programming;
  Google Suite (Slides/Sheets)

Salary: $12.00 - $14.50 hourly

Working Conditions:

• May work around standard office conditions.
• Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
• Remote work environment
• Use of manual dexterity
