Adjunct Faculty – MSSS 530 Earth Observation Systems Responsibilities
- Teach the MSSS 530 course, including preparing lectures, assignments, and grading.
How critical decisions are needed to manage complex space transportation programs, with recognition that risks are higher, the environment less forgiving, time to market longer, and stakeholder involvement much greater than typical development programs. Addresses skills, tools and knowledge to effectively lead Earth observation programs in the future, emphasizing that basic structures of the industry are changing from government ownership to private ownership, from total vertical market integration to market segmentation, and from government as dominant customers to private sector as dominant customers.
PhysicalLocation Requirement
All adjuncts must be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training, except for adjuncts located in California. The University does not support work from international locations, with limited exceptions for individuals residing and working from U.S. military bases.
Qualifications- Required: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Desired: Professional training or experience in space operations development or management, including work in the science or business of space, manufacturing, operations, finance, or entrepreneurship.
- Degree Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines:
Management, Economics, Business Administration, Political Science, International Relations, Public Administration, Engineering (Aerospace, Aeronautical, Astronautical), or Science (Aerospace, Aeronautical, Astronautical).
