Job Summary
The Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan invites applications for a tenured faculty position (Associate or Full Professor) in the Technology and Operations area, with a research focus at the intersection of AI, advanced manufacturing, and supply chain resilience. This appointment is part of a major interdisciplinary faculty cluster - Cognitive Manufacturing - that spans the Ross School of Business and the College of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering).
Required Qualifications*
The ideal candidate would have research expertise at the intersection of AI and operations, including cognitive AI for manufacturing/supply chain management, resiliency, and integrated AI-human decision making in operations settings. We are especially interested in individuals with a track record of interdisciplinary collaboration with mechanical engineering, computer science, and/or behavioral science colleagues; experience translating research through industry partnerships, pilot deployments, or policy engagement;
a history of external research funding from federal agencies and/or industry; and experience mentoring a diverse community of students and junior researchers.
Minimum requirements include a doctorate in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field such as Economics, Statistics, or Computer Science, and a record of excellence in business research, teaching, and leadership commensurate with appointment rank.

Modes of Work
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
